All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) was set up in November 1945 as a national-level Apex Advisory Body to conduct a survey on the facilities available for technical education and to promote development in the country in a coordinated and integrated manner.
Pharmacy Council of India
The pharmacy profession comprising the industrial and practice sectors is undergoing a rapid change. Indian Pharma industry which has registered a spectacular progress today ranks 4th in volume and 13th in value in the global pharmaceutical market with exports worth US Dollars 2.6 billion besides domestic sales amounting to over US Dollars 4 million.
The ever expanding Pharma’s industrial and practice sectors need clinically and technologically trained pharmacy professionals who can face global challenges and compete with the multinationals. The pharmacist is no longer a mere dispenser of drugs but has assumed a more crucial role in medicine management and as overall health care programmer.
Board Of Technical Education and Training
State Board Of Technical Education and Training was set up in the state in May,1958. The Board conducted its first examination in 1960,for courses of diploma level and also for Draughtsman Certificate Course. The name of the state Board was changed to Board Of Technical Education in 1962. In the same Year, the U.P. Pravidhic Shiksha Adhiniyam – 1962 was enacted awarding the Board statutory status. In the year 1962, year of its inception, the Board held the examination of about 2500 students, in three major disciplines of Civil, Electrical and Mechanical Engineering at 25 different Centers/Institutions. It has a chairman , vice-chairman and 40 members ,named by the state government .Secretary ,Board of Technical Education ,U.P. is ex-officio member secretary of the Board.The curriculum prepared by other institutions was adopted by the Board, till 1980 but thereafter the curriculum and syllabi were developed and revised, every five years at the Board level through its Curriculum development cell. The curriculum development work has been entrusted to I.R.D.T. kanpur . The Board now examine and approve the syllabus developed by IRDT, Kanpur and prescribe it for institutions affiliated to Board of Technical Education, U.P. About 1,05,000 students in the 60 different disciplines of one year, two year, three year and four year durations are being examined at present, in the institutions, affiliated to the Board. The Board of has been constituted under U.P. Pravidhic Shiksha Adhiniyam – 1962. It has a Chairman and a Vice-Chairman and, 40 memebers nominated by the state Government. Secretary ,Board Of Technical Education is ex-officio member secretary of the Board.
Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapith, Varanasi
Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapith is a Public University located in Varanasi or Benaras, Uttar Pradesh, India. Established in 1921 as Kashi Vidyapith and later renamed, it is administered under the state legislature of the government of Uttar Pradesh. The university has more than 350+ affiliated colleges spread over six Districts(Varanasi,Chandauli, Bhadohi, Mirzapur, Sonbhadra, Ballia). It is one of the largest State Universities in Uttar Pradesh, with hundreds of thousands of students, both rural and urban. It offers a range of Professional and Academic courses in Arts, Science, Commerce, Law, Computing and Management. Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidypeeth has earned B+ status from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council.
(AYUSH) Department of Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homoeopathy
The Ministry of AYUSH was formed on 9th November 2014 to ensure the optimal development and propagation of AYUSH systems of health care. Earlier it was known as the Department of Indian System of Medicine and Homeopathy (ISM&H) which was created in March 1995 and renamed as Department of Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homoeopathy (AYUSH) in November 2003, with focused attention for development of Education and Research in Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homoeopathy.
Central Council of Indian Medicine:: Ministry of Ayush, Govt. of India
Central Council of Indian Medicine (CCIM) is a statutory body under Department of Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homoeopathy (AYUSH), Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, set up in 1971 under the Indian Medicine Central Council Act, (Act 48) which was passed in 1970. It is one of the Professional councils under University Grants Commission (UGC) to monitor higher education in Indian systems of medicine, including Ayurveda, Siddha and Unani.
Indian Nursing Council
The Indian Nursing Council is a national regulatory body for nurses and nurse education in India. It is an autonomous body under the Government of India, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, constituted by the Central Government under section 3(1) of the Indian Nursing Council Act, 1947 of Indian parliament.[1] Since 1947 Indian Nursing Council Act has undergone minimal amendments. This resulted in several anomalies that have impacted the morale of Registered Nurses in India especially those practicing in the private sector. The last amendment of the act was in the year 2006. According to the original act the “function of the council is to provide uniformity in nursing education” only. Thus, Indian Nursing Council is not legally equipped to intervene in the service rules of Registered Nurses practicing in India.
State Medical Faculty, Lucknow
Government of Uttar Pradesh (United Provinces Government) has established “United Provinces Board of Medical Examination” in 1917, with an aim to provide standard education in the field of Medical, Nursing and Paramedical and an independent examination authority. The primary task was to conduct examinations of the students of LMP (Licenciate Medical Practioners ) of Agra Medical School , Licenciates in public health, Nursing and certain coureses in Paramedical field. At that time the professional qualification of L.M.P. was considered not up to the standard, thus to raise the qualification and standard, recommendation for starting upgraded “Diplomas of Licenciate and Membership of State Medical Faculty, Hon. Powers under “Indian Medical Degrees Act 1916” has also been granted by the Central Government .
माध्यमिक शिक्षा परिषद्
The Board was set up in the year 1921 at Allahabad by an act of United Provinces Legislative Council. It conducted it’s first examination in 1923. This Board is one in India which, From the very start, had adopted 10+2 system of examination. The first public examination after 10 years education is High School Examination and after 10+2 stage, there is intermediate Examination. Prior to 1923, University of Allahabad was the examining body of these two examinations.
National Institute of Open Schooling
The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) formerly known as National Open School (NOS) was established in November,1989 as an autonomous organisation in pursuance of National Policy on Education 1986 by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India. NIOS is providing a number of Vocational, Life Enrichment and community oriented courses besides General and Academic Courses at Secondary and Senior Secondary level. It also offers Elementary level Courses through its Open Basic Education Programmes (OBE).Government of India through a gazette notification vested NIOS with the authority to examine and certify learners registered with it upto pre degree level courses whether Academic, Technical or Vocational. Association of Indian Universities, vide letter No . EV/11(354)/91/ 25 July, 1991 issued Equivalence of Senior Secondary Certificate Examination of NIOS.

प्रदेश मे स्कूल-शिक्षा हेतु पाठ्यक्रम तथा पाठ्यपुस्तकों के विकास, शिक्षको के प्रशिक्षण, शैक्षिक मूल्यांकन, शोध तथा नवाचारो के लिए राज्य शैक्षिक अनुसंधान और प्रशिक्षण परिषद (एस0सी0ई0आर0टी0), उत्तर प्रदेश की स्थापना वर्ष 1981 में जनपद लखनऊ में की गयी। इसके मुख्य कार्य निम्नवत् हैं :-
